Rock Kong Koy

Fierce Khmer-Thai folk rock band, Rok Kong Koy, was formed in 1992 by Kong Meechai of Thailand’s Surin province. Inspired by the hypnotic grooves of Kantrum and Molam, the group released cult classics in the 90s sung in both Khmer and Thai dialects. Bridging cultures and generations, Rok Kong Koy remains a symbol of cross-border resilience, soul and rock ‘n’ roll rebellion.
