This year, food in The Fields celebrates culture with intention and thoughtfulness. Dining is evolving into a rich exploration of culture and cuisines, where every bite is a connection to tradition. Many of our venues are evolving; get to know what to expect—and eat—at Wonderfruit 2024.
Wonder Kitchen presents culinary journeys that explore stories of our world
Wonder Kitchen steps up as the centerpiece of culinary exploration at Wonderfruit, focusing exclusively on intimate, chef’s table experiences. Expect vibrant meals that are more than just dining—they’re opportunities to engage with the chefs and explore daring new dishes guided by themes that bridge tradition and innovation, approach food as medicine and reduce food waste, all within the embrace of shared causes.
In the quiet moments outside of meal times, Wonder Kitchen invites you into a world of workshops and activities that reveal the deeper narratives behind each ingredient, offering a chance to reconnect with the origins of nourishment and create impactful experiences that resonate long after you’ve left The Fields.
At Wonder Kitchen, meals are more than sustenance; they are ceremonies of connection that linger in memory, nourishing the mind, body and spirit long after you leave The Fields.
Open Kitchen welcomes a second floor sit-down restaurant
Designed by Boonserm Premthada, Open Kitchen remains a space of cultural significance, welcoming all with its open design and use of reclaimed materials from a nearby tobacco factory.
This year, it evolves into a table service restaurant on the top floor, where you can reserve a spot or simply walk in to enjoy a meal made from locally sourced ingredients and time-honored family recipes in our take on a Mae-Khrua, or Mother’s Kitchen. With seating for up to 60 guests across both high tables and dining tables, Wonderers can enjoy an authentic Thai dining experience, all set against the backdrop of The Fields. The ground floor, home to Life’s Market by Pa Chan, invites Wonderers to engage, learn and explore the rich traditions of Thailand. Here, tastings, hands-on workshops, hyper-local crafts and discussions offer a deeper understanding of the wisdom passed down through generations.
This year, the program of Life’s Market will revolve around three themes: Natural Remedies, Organic Wellness and Beauty and Ancestral Cooking Techniques.
Theatre of Eats welcomes food vendors serving the best of Thailand
Stepping into Theatre of Eats, a reimagined Theatre of Feasts, is an edible journey through Thailand’s many provincial food cultures. Now the culinary heart of Molam World, the venue beautifully intertwines the lively spirit of a night market with the timeless charm of a traditional market, reflecting the essence of Thailand’s diverse foodscape.
Accommodating more than 100 guests, Theatre of Eats will feature diverse food vendors, each bringing their best dishes to the table, along with a specialty bar focused on Thai spirits and ingredients.
Open from lunchtime until the end of the music programming at Molam World, this venue invites Wonderers to immerse themselves in the tastes, sights and sounds of Thai culture.
Jungle House returns with elevated lakeside dining
Part of the Slow Wonder collaboration with experiential hospitality collective Slowness, Jungle House is a relaxed space for all Wonderers to come together around food and drink, music and well-being. Carefully calibrated and yet wild in spirit, the menu tantalizes and provokes the senses with Mediterranean-inspired cuisine.
Designed by Ab Rogers Design in homage to vernacular architecture of the Thai countryside, Jungle House is perched above the beach for lakeside dining, gently transforming a peaceful plot of land into a space that celebrates a slower style of wonder. Laze on a sun lounger, sip spirited drinks and share stories with friends.
