Khontan and the Hymmapan Express is a genre-blending musical collective that infuses traditional Molam and Isaan folk songs with eclectic influences ranging from dub and reggae to Afro-funk, psychedelic and ambient music. Formed in 2020, by Khontan, the group quickly expanded as he invited friends and fellow musicians to join the creative journey. This sonic ensemble, akin to a train of wonder, symbolizes the vibrant and experimental voyage of contemporary Thai folk music and Molam Isaan.
